KAZAN, October 20 A ferry with cars and passengers ran aground on the Volga in Tatarstan, there were no casualties or damage to the vessel, reports the Russian State Emergency Situations Directorate for Tatarstan.
«At 11.07 Moscow time on October 20, a message was received that a passenger ferry on the route «Arakchino (Kirovsky district of Kazan) — Verkhniy Uslon (Verkhneuslonsky district)» had run aground. There were no deaths or injuries. There was no damage to the vessel or fuel spillage.» , — the release says.
According to preliminary information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there are 14 cars with passengers on the ferry. A cargo pusher and an empty ferry plying the route should help.
The width of the Volga in this section is 3 kilometers. Four ferries operate on the line.
