MOSCOW, October 20 During morning trading, the European currency rate fell below 102 rubles for the first time since the end of September, but subsequently resumed growth, according to data from the Moscow Exchange.

The official euro exchange rate set by the regulator for Friday amounted to 102.6255 rubles.

The dollar exchange rate decreased by 52 kopecks to 96.53 rubles, the yuan – by eight kopecks to 13.14 rubles.
The Russian currency reacted positively to the return of the mandatory sale of foreign currency earnings by exporters , which was introduced by presidential decree on October 11. The Central Bank said that the measure will improve the supply situation and contribute to reducing short-term market volatility. At the same time, the targeted nature of the restrictions – they will affect 43 groups of companies – will allow the preservation of foreign trade settlement schemes.
