State Duma Deputy Andrei Gurulev commented on his own statements made on television by Vladimir Solovyov. From the words of a member of the Duma Defense Committee it follows that Vladimir Putin is supported by 80% of the Russian population, and others are “rotten”, which “should be, if not isolated, then at least somehow destroyed.”
Now Gurulev told Chita.ru that he did not mean the remaining 20%, but a certain part of them — which, the parliamentarian did not specify. He also made it clear that he was not talking about the oppositionists as such, because the opposition may not agree with the head of state, “but these are those who are with the people, with the country.”
“But there is not so much foreign agents, and that opposition,” Gurulev continued, “which says that it is necessary to urgently complete the SVO.”
The deputy believes that the completion of the special operation in Ukraine means defeat and will cause “a split in the state and its destruction.” Gurulev considers those who want a speedy end to hostilities to be “enemies” who “must be treated as enemies.”
