MOSCOW, October 20 Law on the abolition of informing the CE Secretary General about the introduction of martial law in the Russian Federation is included in the agenda of the meeting of the Federation Council on October 25, according to the chamber’s website.
Earlier, the first deputy head of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Vladimir Dzhabarov, reported that the chamber intends to consider this law at a meeting on October 25, senators will support it.
The State Duma on Thursday adopted a law canceling the notification of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe on the introduction or termination of martial law and a state of emergency in the Russian Federation.
“We left the Council of Europe, this organization is alien to us,” Dzhabarov noted.
