The head of Tatarstan Rustem Minnikhanov presented the Order of Duslyk (Friendship) to Ramzan Kadyrov's 15-year-old son Adam. State Duma deputy from United Russia Adam Delimkhanov reported this on his Telegram channel.
Delimkhanov writes that Kadyrov Jr. was awarded “for his significant contribution to strengthening interethnic and interfaith peace and harmony.” Minnikhanov personally presented the order to the teenager.
Adam Kadyrov received Tatarstan’s second most important award five days after the State Council deputy of the republic, Azat Khamaev, was indignant at a parliamentary meeting that he had beaten Nikita Zhuravel, a person involved in the case of burning the Koran, in a Chechen pre-trial detention center.

A few hours later, the state agency Tatar-Inform published Khamaev’s apology. “Speaking at a meeting of the State Council of the Republic, I expressed a purely personal opinion, which was not supported by my colleagues. I apologize for my emotional statement, which could harm relations between fraternal peoples,” the deputy said.
In mid-October, a court in Grozny extended the arrest of Nikita Zhuravel, accused in the case of insulting the feelings of believersand hooliganism motivated by religious hatred. A Sota correspondent noted that Zhuravel’s face showed signs of beatings.
According to investigators, Zhuravel set fire to the Koran in early May “on instructions from the SBU.” The case materials were transferred from Volgograd for investigation to Chechnya on behalf of the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin.
