
MOSCOW, October 23 Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin announced that the State Duma will increase the number of plenary sessions in the autumn session to consider bills that citizens are waiting for.
«The Council of the State Duma on Monday considered a resolution on amending the work schedule of deputies during the autumn session. A decision was made to increase the number of plenary sessions: the week from October 30 to November 5 will become plenary, that is, three more plenary sessions will be held,» — Volodin reported, his words were quoted by the press service of the State Duma
In total, eight plenary weeks are planned until the end of the session.
Volodin noted that this is due to the need to consider a large number of bills, “which citizens are waiting for.”
“We have 1073 initiatives in our legislative portfolio,” Volodin said.
He added that the agenda includes a number of important social bills, the adoption of which citizens are waiting for, including increasing the minimum wage, increasing pensions by 7.5 % to non-working pensioners. By the end of November, the State Duma needs to adopt the federal budget for 2024-2026, work is now underway on it in the relevant committees, he added.
In addition, on November 16, there will be a speech by the Chairman of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, on the main directions of the state monetary policy. credit policy, also by the end of the year, federal ministers will make reports at the plenary sessions of the State Duma as part of the government hour.”
