SARATOV, October 26 A resident of Saratov has become a defendant in a criminal case regarding cooperation with a pro-Ukrainian terrorist organization, the press service of the regional department of the FSB reported.
«A criminal case has been initiated against a resident of Saratov, born in 1994, on the grounds of a crime under Article 275.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Cooperation on a confidential basis with a foreign state, international or foreign organization.» Data obtained from the implemented set of operational investigative measures “that the suspect, through e-mail, established and maintained a cooperative relationship on a confidential basis with a representative of one of the pro-Ukrainian terrorist organizations acting on behalf of the Ukrainian intelligence services to the detriment of the security of Russia,” the report says.
The department noted that earlier, by a court decision, the person involved was arrested on charges under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Public calls for terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism.” The sanctions of these articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provide for up to eight years in prison.
