MOSCOW, October 26 Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to think about organizing a system of benefits when applying for mortgages by specialists in the space industry.
“»For the space industry, of course, there should be its own system of benefits. I won’t say specific numbers right now, because it would be incorrect, this needs to be discussed with the government, with the Ministry of Finance, first of all, to compare different conditions, but then, that for the space industry, bearing in mind its importance for the country, for the state, its potential and development prospects, we, of course, need to retain personnel here, young specialists, this is quite obvious, and housing is one of the fundamental indicators of attractiveness work. We will definitely think about this. It’s very important,” Putin said during a meeting with young scientists and space industry specialists.
““We have a large set of mortgage benefits, employees of the space industry do not fall into any of them. And this despite the fact that the salary, let's say, is quite modest. So we will not retain personnel here. I ask the government to prepare additional measures in this regard,» Putin said at a meeting on the development of the rocket and space industry.
