Head of the RFU CDC: the judges considered Claudinho’s gesture unaccented

MOSCOW, October 27, Sergey Fuks. Referees of the match 12- of the Russian Premier League (RPL) between Zenit and Krylia Sovetov Samara, they considered that the offensive gesture of the St. Petersburg club midfielder Claudinho was not of an accentuated nature, said the head of the control and disciplinary committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU KDK) Artur Grigoryants , explaining the lack of sanctions.
Krylya Sovetov lost to Zenit (1:3) in the RPL match on October 22 in St. Petersburg. After the game, videos were published on social networks in which Claudinho made an offensive gesture to the visiting midfielder Amar Rakhmanovich. According to the RFU disciplinary regulations, such a violation is punishable by disqualification for a period of two to four matches.
“”The materials in the media were presented in such a way that there was no information content to initiate a case. But we carried out an additional check, contacted the match referee, checked the report. It said that in the broadcast there was a moment in which an alleged finger gesture was shown from the side Claudinho. They paid attention to this, but, in their opinion, the gesture was not accentuated, it is not punishable by a red card. The VAR judges decided not to invite the referee to the monitor,” Grigoryants told reporters.
