ROSTOV-ON-DON, October 27 A fifteen-year-old teenager died under the wheels of a tractor while harvesting in the Volga region of the Astrakhan region, the regional prosecutor’s office reports.
According to the department, the incident occurred on October 25 near the village of Ivanovsky.
““A teenager, picking potatoes in a field, jumped onto the rigid trailer hitch of a moving tractor, after which, having lost his balance, he fell under the front axle of a towed trailer,” the regional investigative committee said in a statement.
The boy died from his injuries in the hospital.
Investigators have begun an investigation into this fact. The prosecutor's office put its progress under control. In addition, the supervisory agency intends to check the legality of “involving a minor in labor activities.”
