MOSCOW, Oct. 27Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the staff of the Museum of the Moscow Art Academic Theater on its 100th anniversary, noting that thanks to the professionalism of the museum’s workers, evidence of the rich history of the theater is carefully preserved within its walls; the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.
“I congratulate you on the 100th anniversary of the Moscow Art Theater Museum. It is deeply symbolic that you are celebrating your anniversary in the year of the 125th anniversary of the Moscow Art Theater. Thanks to the professionalism and true dedication of many generations of museum workers, priceless evidence of the rich history of the theater is carefully preserved within its walls: unique documents, telling about the life and work of the founders of the Moscow Art Theater — V. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko and K. S. Stanislavsky, books, photographs, letters, personal belongings of other outstanding Moscow Art Theater members — directors, actors, artists, playwrights,” the congratulations say.
Putin added that today the museum staff continues the work of their predecessors. Thanks to research and educational activities, organization of excursions, lectures and exhibitions, domestic culture is developing.
The Russian leader also wished the museum staff success and all the best.
