MOSCOW, October 30 Former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC ) in heavyweight, Frenchman Francis Ngannou called the judge's decision following his fight with Briton Tyson Fury a disgrace for boxing.
Fury defeated Ngannou by split decision on October 28 in a fight for a special World Boxing Council (WBC) belt in Riyadh.
Ngannou said that he demands sanctions against the judges who gave the victory to Fury.
“»I believe that such judicial decisions are a disgrace for boxing. The judges should be punished. I would like to understand why they make such verdicts. Such decisions spoil athletes' careers,» the Frenchman told Boxing Scene.
For 37-year-old Ngannou, this was his boxing debut. In MMA he scored 17 wins with three defeats; he left the UFC as a champion due to disagreements over a new contract.
