MINSK, Nov 2 The Government of Belarus decided to stop the validity of the intergovernmental agreement with Ukraine on cooperation in the field of geodesy, cartography and remote sensing of the Earth, according to a resolution of the Council of Ministers published on the country's national legal Internet portal.
“”To terminate the agreement between the government of the Republic of Belarus and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on cooperation in the field of geodesy, cartography and remote sensing of the Earth, signed in Brest on June 18, 2001,” the resolution says.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus has been instructed to send a notice of termination of the agreement.
The resolution came into force from the date of adoption – November 1.
Ukraine unilaterally withdrew from this agreement in November last year.
Ukraine has recently regularly announced its withdrawal from a number of agreements with Belarus. The Belarusian authorities, in turn, formalize the termination of these documents at the national legal level.
