WASHINGTON, Nov. 2 The US House of Representatives is very will soon make a decision as part of the ongoing impeachment investigation of President Joe Biden, House Speaker Mike Johnson said Thursday.
“I believe we will be at a decision point on this very soon,” he told reporters when asked about the ongoing Biden impeachment investigation.
Johnson added that congressmen “intend to follow the evidence” when making decisions and noted that he does not intend to “predetermine” further actions.
Republicans controlling the House of Representatives suspect Biden of corruption and abuse of office and, on this basis, began impeachment proceedings under former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. A House panel is investigating primarily whether Biden benefited from his son Hunter's business dealings. The charges relate to Biden's tenure as Vice President of the United States (2009-2017).
Biden has repeatedly categorically denied all accusations, and the White House called the investigation into the head of state’s connections with his son’s business “extreme politics at its worst.”
