VLADIVOSTOK, November 1 Artists of the Primorsky stage of the Mariinsky Theater as part of the Days of Culture of the Primorsky Territory in Harbin on November 2 and 3 will present the ballet extravaganza “Sleeping” to local residents “beautiful,” the regional government reports.
"The Days of Culture of the Primorsky Territory will be held on November 2 and 3 in Harbin. The artists of the Primorsky stage of the Mariinsky Theater will present the classics of Russian ballet to the audience of the Celestial Empire,” the message says.
Preparations for the performances are currently underway, Russian artists are rehearsing to represent the production of “The Sleeping Beauty” in China. About 1.5 thousand people will be able to watch the ballet extravaganza performed by artists from the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theater at the Harbin Bolshoi Theater on November 2 and 3.
The “Sleeping Beauty” performance has been staged in Vladivostok since 2017, during which time it has become one of the most popular among residents and guests of Primorye.
In addition to the ballet extravaganza, theater visitors will also be able to visit the exhibition of paintings and photographs “Old Harbin”, organized by Harbin University.
Starting October 10, artists from the Mariinsky Theater and Valery Gergiev will perform ballet and opera performances in China. Earlier, the maestro announced the theater’s plans to tour in the spring of 2024 in China.
