MOSCOW, November 3. Experts have begun the final tests of the first Angara-A5 rocket for launch from Vostochny, journalists were told on Friday in the press — Roscosmos service.
“»The Khrunichev Center, as part of the creation of the Amur space rocket complex at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, has begun the final tests of the Angara-A5 rocket of the first launch,» the statement says.

Earlier, the third stage of the rocket was delivered from the Moscow site of the Khrunichev Center to the Omsk branch of the Polet enterprise for general assembly and control checks. The control and testing station necessary for carrying out acceptance tests is located there.
“Based on the results of the final electrical tests of the Angara for the first launch at the KIS and the results of assessing the compliance of all its systems with the requirements, the production of the rocket will actually be completed and the readiness to be sent to the cosmodrome to prepare for the first launch will be confirmed,” Roscosmos emphasized.
«Angara» is a family of environmentally friendly launch vehicles of various classes. It includes light carriers «Angara-1.2», medium — «Angara-A3» (in development, the decision on its creation has not been made), heavy — «Angara-A5», a modernized «Angara-A5M», which will also be used for manned launches, increased payload — «Angara-A5V».

Construction of the Angara complex on Vostochny began in 2018. The Angara-NZH (ground-based liquid) has already arrived at the new cosmodrome — a mock-up of the rocket that will be used to test the cosmodrome's systems, as well as conduct the first test of the emergency rescue system of the Orel spacecraft. The first launch is expected in 2024.
