«Hare moan» and the language of flowers in paintings: the capital's program
In Moscow, more than 100 cultural venues will offer excursions, concerts, lectures, performances, film screenings.
At 17:00, 30 artists in the image of Vladimir Mayakovsky will move from six points associated with the avant-garde futurist and Soviet classic: from the museum in Lubyansky Proezd, his family’s apartment on Krasnaya Presnya, house 15/13 in Mayakovsky Lane, the Russian Academy of Painting and Sculpture and the architecture of Ilya Glazunov, the Mosselprom House and the building of the Izvestia newspaper. The «Poetic Promenade» event is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the poet.
In the Variety Theater, which was opened after restoration, the Phonograph-Symphonic-Jazz orchestra and Sergei Zhilin will give a concert “Rachmaninov. The versatility of a genius” to mark the composer’s 150th anniversary. In Gorky Park, classics will be performed by students of the Moscow Conservatory.
Artists of the Moscow Theater of Poets, as well as the winners and finalists of the young poetry festival “Filatov Fest” will read “Poems for the Night” at the S. A. Yesenin Museum. 
In the «New Manege» there will be literary readings «Poets of Modernity», a theatrical show, Anton Kukushkin's play «Sounds of Speech», a performance «Manifesto» by the group of young artists «Hare Moan».
At the Museum of Contemporary History of Russia, GITIS students will present plays by Alexander Galich. Also here are tours of the exhibitions “My Big Earth”, “The Kurchatov-Alexandrov Effect” and “My Dagestan. Our Rasul” for the 100th anniversary of the poet Gamzatov.
You can visit the New Tretyakov Gallery and small museums (Viktor Vasnetsov, Apollinary Vasnetsov, Pavel and Sergei Tretyakov) on the “Night of Arts” with free tickets.
At the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts there are three youth excursions “Pushkinsky. Yu”: about plants in paintings from different eras, the work of a restorer, the meaning of inscriptions on various objects of the Middle Ages.
< br />Art critic Veronika Terletskaya in her lecture “Estate feast as art” will talk about ancient meals and feasts, what was served on the table and how tastes changed under Peter I.
In the Library named after N. A. Nekrasov there is a festival “Electronekrasovka. The first five-year plan.» The program includes master classes, the premiere of a joint podcast with the Moscow Art Theater School about the Chelyuskinites, and a lecture-concert about Soviet jazz.
At the Museum of Moscow — a lecture «Garage music in the USSR: about Yegor Letov and Siberian punk» and a screening of Eldar Ryazanov's film «Girl without an address» from 1957.
Cinemas «Salyut» and «Iskra» of the Moskino network will present short films by screenwriter and director Yulia Gorbachevskaya «Vertigo» about a difficult period in the life of Fyodor Dostoevsky and «Telegram» based on the story of the same name by Paustovsky.
The “Night of Arts” at the State Historical Museum will be held online. For subscribers on social networks — a lecture «Imperial style in the works of Russian and French masters of the 19th century» and a curatorial tour of the exhibition «Peterhof. Treasures of the Russian Empress».

The St. Petersburg Lensoveta Theater and the Arkady Raikin Variety Theater organize excursions around their backstage as part of the “Night of Arts”. At the lectures of the Kirov Islands Library, residents and guests of the Northern capital will learn about the Russian style in architecture of the second half of the 19th century and balls in Russian culture.
The Novgorod Museum-Reserve has prepared a game program for children dedicated to military affairs, “Hard in learning, easy in battle” and an interactive one, with a master class from woodcarvers, “The work of the master is afraid.”
Older guests will enjoy an art quest at the exhibition “Russian Fine Art of the 18th — Early 20th Centuries”, a literary and musical salon at the exhibition “Sculpture of Color. Natella Toidze. Painting” and an evening of choral music.
The State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics named after K. E. Tsiolkovsky in Kaluga offers thematic excursions, lectures, presentations, creative master classes, quizzes and a concert program.
