MOSCOW, November 4. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that he does not feel pressure from Western leaders to initiate peace negotiations with Russia. He said this at a joint press conference with the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in Kiev.
“»No one is putting pressure on me today. <…> Today, none of the leaders of the EU or the US is putting pressure on us to sat down to talk with Russia and gave something back,” he said.
According to Zelensky, such negotiations “do not exist and will not happen”
Earlier, the NBC television channel, citing officials, reported that the United States and Europe are discussing with Kiev the possibility of diplomatic contacts with Moscow and what it will have to sacrifice for the sake of peace.
According to media reports, American and European officials are concerned that the conflict, in their opinion, has reached a dead end. They are also unsure of their ability to provide further assistance to Kyiv.
