In Perm, a Properm.ru journalist with Kazakh citizenship was detained and taken to a temporary detention center for foreign citizens

On the morning of November 9, the police came to the home of Properm.ru journalist Vladislav Ivanenko. The publication itself reported this.

First, Ivanenko was taken to police department No. 7 in the Sverdlovsk district of Perm, and then taken to the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens.

Ivanenko is a citizen of Kazakhstan, he has been living and working in Russia for the last eight years. Previously, he received a notice of cancellation of his residence permit, but the decision was appealed within the period established by law, the journalist’s colleagues said.

The editors called the grounds for cancellation of the document “fictitious and without any basis.” The publication did not specify for what exact reason the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Perm Territory decided to invalidate the residence permit.

Ivanenko’s colleagues call the actions of the police officers illegal and excessive. “Now there is no contact with Vladislav, the police did not let him wait for a lawyer,” writes Properm.ru.
