Residential apartment buildings and an educational institution in the Korabelny district of Kherson came under fire, as a result of which a 72-year-old man who was on the apartment’s balcony was killed and four other people were injured. This was reported by the regional administration and its head Oleksandr Prokudin.
As the Kherson regional administration clarified, among the wounded are two men, they are 21 years old and 64 years old. A 39-year-old volunteer was also injured during the strike on the educational institution and was hospitalized. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klimenko, reported that a 74-year-old man was injured.
“Apartment buildings, the premises of the indestructibility point, an educational institution and garages were damaged,” wrote Prokudin. The video published from the Korabelny district shows destroyed balconies, broken windows in residential buildings, craters in the road surface, as well as traces of blood on the ground.
The Russian-appointed head of the occupied territory of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, also reported the attack. He reported that, according to the local Ministry of Health, at least 11 people were injured during the shelling of civilian infrastructure in Skadovsk. They were all hospitalized.
“One missile was shot down by air defense, another hit a private sector, several houses were damaged,” the Skadovsky district administration clarified. TASS, citing preliminary information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kherson region, writes about five dead. The Investigative Committee has already reported on the initiation of a criminal case into the shelling.
