The presentation of the flagship S7 sedan of the new premium brand Luxeed from Chery and Huawei took place in China, and pre-orders have begun.
The Chinese IT giant Huawei wants to become a major player in the Chinese auto business and is simultaneously developing several projects in this direction: producing components for electric vehicles, collaborating with other automakers in the field of software, and launching its own brands. Huawei already has a car brand called AITO (produces electric cars and plug-in hybrids), which recently entered the Russian market, and Luxeed is a completely new premium electric car brand launched in August this year together with Chery.

The debut model of Luxeed was a large coupe-like S7 sedan (it can also be called a fastback) on a modular design developed by Chery E0X platform with 800-volt electrical architecture. Overall length of the Luxeed S7 is 4971 mm, width is 1963 mm, height is 1474 mm, wheelbase is 2950 mm. Suspension: fully independent, adaptive, pneumatic, multi-link front and rear. Powerful brakes are supplied by Brembo.
All details about the power plant have not yet been disclosed, it is only known that the basic version of the sedan will have a single electric motor on the rear axle with a capacity of 215 kW (292 hp). The dual-motor all-wheel drive version has the same rear motor, and the front one produces 150 kW (204 hp). The power reserve on one charge is 550-800 km according to the CLTC cycle, depending on the modification; the top one will be the most dynamic Max RS with a power reserve of 630 km.

The interior is completely typical for Chinese “electric trains” of this class: the plump steering wheel is flattened so as not to block the instrument panel, which is pushed back to the windshield, and the central multimedia screen, on the contrary, is as close as possible to the driver and front passenger. Luxeed S7 was the first car with the latest integrated Huawei operating system HarmonyOS 4, which provides the widest entertainment capabilities, and is also powered by a self-learning voice assistant and numerous electronic driver assistants. Leather seats with integral but adjustable headrests are equipped with multiple adjustments and retractable footrests. The area of the transparent roof is 2.6 m2. Trunk volume — 420 l.

Pre-sale prices for the Luxeed S7 range from 258,000 yuan (3.27 million rubles at current exchange rates) for the basic single-engine version to 358,000 yuan (4 .54 million rubles) for the all-wheel drive top version Max RS. Real prices, as usual in China, will be slightly lower; they will be announced on November 28, at which time full sales will begin.
The appearance of the Luxeed brand in the Russian Federation is a matter of time, and, we believe, quite soon: There will either be an official launch, or the brand new Luxeed S7 will pour into our country through gray dealers.
