MOSCOW, November 10. The main producers of poultry meat and eggs in the Russian Federation will increase supplies for the domestic market, prices for poultry products are expected to stabilize, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reported.
According to Rosstat, from the beginning of the year to November 7, chicken meat has risen in price by 29.66%, and chicken eggs — by 21.16%; Meanwhile, the increase in prices for food products in the Russian Federation over 10 months amounted to 3.67% in annual terms.
““This year, against the background of increased demand, there has been an increase in prices for poultry products, despite an increase in the production of poultry meat and eggs. A plan has been agreed with the main manufacturers to further increase volumes to meet the needs of the domestic market. At the end of the year, the department expects the positive dynamics in this segment to continue,» the press service reported
In addition, work will be organized jointly with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia to stimulate manufacturers and retail chains enter into long-term contracts for the supply of products — this will ensure predicted supply volumes and retail prices.
“We hope that the measures taken will stabilize prices for consumers,” the ministry noted.
