MOSCOW, November 14 Coal production in Russia since the beginning of the year has exceeded 373 million tons, coal exports — 176 million tons, said Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergei Mochalnikov .
«Since the beginning of the year, we have produced more than 373 million tons. These are operational data. And our exports are more than 176 million tons, this (as of — ed.) as of last week. We are on the chart of last year's parameters,» — he told reporters on the sidelines of Transport Week.
According to Mochalnikov, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation maintains the goal of maintaining the indicators of coal production and export from the country at the end of 2023 at the level of the last two years, that is, at the level of 440 million and 220 million tons per year, respectively.
He also noted that the demand for Russian coal is at least twice the country’s export capabilities, even taking into account the use of ports in the Azov-Black Sea basin and the North-West.
