The prosecutor asked to sentence Alexei Navalny's comrade-in-arms, politician Vladimir Milov, in absentia to nine years in prison in the case of military “fakes”. This was reported by correspondents of SOTAvision and “Caution, News” from the Basmanny District Court of Moscow.
The reason for the prosecution was a three-hour stream of the politician on the YouTube channel “Navalny Live” in March 2022 under the title “Putin’s War Crimes” , in which Milov spoke about the murder of civilians by the Russian military (clause “e” of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code).
According to the prosecution, Milov “has hostility towards the authorities and hatred towards political institutions.” To prove this, a representative of the prosecutor’s office at the previous meeting on October 20 read to the judge the titles of other videos featuring Milov: “What awaits those who support Putin?”, “How to wash off the shame,” “Russia is against war” and “I would saw Putin with a chainsaw.” “.
Milov left Russia in 2021. In July 2022, he was put on the wanted list, and in the summer of 2023 the court will order his arrest in absentia.
