The scientist hopes to protect the “office plankton” from stress in this way
Vitaly Dusmanov, an inventor from Naberezhnye Chelny, received a patent for an office chair with a roof. A strange invention at first glance, in his opinion, should protect open space workers from stress and increase their productivity.
The device is a regular office chair with a backrest on casters. The main difference – attached to it is a folding canopy, the same as on baby strollers. It can be either permanently attached or removable.
As explained by “MK” inventor, his experience of working in “open space” prompted him to the idea of creating a chair. Personal experience showed him that he has many disadvantages: office neighbors are distracting, and air conditioners that work directly above the workplace are always a potential opportunity to catch a cold. World experience also shows that open spaces irritate people who work in them, increase stress levels, and reduce productivity.
The inventor believes that a canopy over an employee’s work chair will make it possible to create personal space even in an open space, and will help get rid of work noise and other impacts of a large office.
