RIA Novosti conducted a study, within the framework of which they compiled a rating of Russian regions by salary level.
According to the study, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Chukotka were at the top of the list, the regions with the lowest salaries were Ingushetia and Kalmykia.
From September 2022 to August of this year, according to Rosstat, the nominal average monthly salary was about 60 thousand rubles per month. This is an increase of 13.7% over the previous 12-month period. At the same time, there is a serious differentiation in wages across the Russian Federation. It is based on regional characteristics.
It is clarified that on average in Russia 14.7% of people receive a salary above 100 thousand rubles. Moreover, in 2022 there were less than 10% of them. The top 10 included the Far Eastern and northern regions, as well as Moscow.
In Chukotka, 58.7% of workers receive salaries over 100 thousand rubles. In the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the share of highly paid workers is 52.7%, in the Magadan Region — 47.6%.
