The Finnish nuclear power plant Olkiluoto 3 temporarily stopped operating on Sunday evening due to a fault in the turbine unit, plant operator Teollisuuden Voima said.
«The cause of the fault is currently under investigation. We will provide further information as soon as possible.» after we find out when the nuclear power plant will return to operation,” the operator reports.
Olkiluoto NPP is located in Western Finland on the shores of the Gulf of Bothnia in the Baltic Sea, on the Olkiluoto Peninsula. The plant's three operating reactors provide about 30% of Finland's energy consumption.
