The authorities of St. Petersburg, following the Moscow mayor’s office, refused to allow the wives of those mobilized under the pretext of the “epidemiological situation” to attend the rally.

The Committee on Legality, Law and Order and Security of the St. Petersburg government refused to approve a rally of relatives of those mobilized under the pretext of the “epidemiological situation.” This was reported in the “Way Home” telegram channel, the authors of which advocate the return of those mobilized from the war.

The applicants planned to hold the event on Sunday, November 26, on Palace Square. The estimated number of participants is up to one hundred people.

Previously, relatives of those mobilized from Moscow and Krasnoyarsk were refused permission to hold rallies due to coronavirus restrictions. And instead of a public event, the authorities offered the families of Novosibirsk military personnel to hold a meeting in the House of Culture.

The post of the telegram channel “The Way Home” states that applications for holding rallies demanding the return of those mobilized will continue. One of the possible forms of events is actions on Mother’s Day, which is celebrated in Russia on November 26.
