MOSCOW, November 29 The most important decisions of the meeting The Council of Ministers of the Union State will be presented to the presidents of Russia and Belarus, said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“Dear colleagues! The most important decisions that we will discuss today will be presented to the presidents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus – Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko. I am confident that the results of our work will give an important impetus to integration construction. They will contribute to the further development of a multifaceted cooperation between our fraternal peoples,” he said at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State.
The meeting will consider the project, in particular, “The main directions for the implementation of the provisions of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State” for the next three years. “It includes ten sections that cover the tasks of implementing coordinated macroeconomic and tax policies, as well as industrial and agricultural policies. Expanding cooperation in the customs sector. Creating a common financial market and united energy markets. Increasing interaction in many other sectors,” – Mishustin said. Ultimately, such work, he said, should help improve the quality of life of citizens and open up additional opportunities for entrepreneurs in both countries.
“Let's also consider the priorities within the framework of the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Union State. One of the current topics is improving the training of specialists in the field of innovation,” noted the head of the Russian government. He emphasized that this is a prerequisite for strengthening technological sovereignty and providing our economies with in-demand personnel.
“It is necessary to determine further directions of joint efforts on such a track,” added Mishustin.
