MOSCOW, December 4 About 30 Russian banks will be involved in piloting the digital ruble in 2024, and its more widespread use will begin in 2025, said the first deputy chairman Bank of Russia Olga Skorobogatova, speaking in the State Duma.
«»We now have 13 banks in the pilot, the pilot is going exactly according to plan… We already have 15 banks ready for the second wave. And next year, we think that in total there will be about 30 banks in the pilot, which is itself in itself, from a piloting point of view, it will give us a very good sample, and we will understand what can still be improved there,” Skorobogatova said.
«And in general, … we think that in 2025 we will begin to use the digital ruble on a larger scale,» added the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank.
