KHABAROVSK, December 4 A tiger killed a man in the Khabarovsk Territory who went to the forest in the footsteps of the predator that had killed his dog, reported the regional department of the RF IC and center «Amur Tiger».
““On Monday, a tiger attacked a resident of the Lazo district of the Khabarovsk Territory near a forest near the village of Obor. A man’s body with traces of the animal’s influence was found at the site,” the investigative department said.
Other details are not yet known, the department noted. The Vyazma Interdistrict Investigation Department is conducting a procedural investigation into the fact of a tiger attack on a person. The interlocutor added that the regulatory authorities are deciding the issue of removing the tiger from the wild.
According to the Amur Tiger Center, a tiger killed the dog of a resident of the village of Obor. The owner of the animal followed the tracks of the animal and, having followed them for a considerable distance, came across a predator near its prey in a forest area. Presumably, the animal regarded this as a threat and attacked the person.
