MOSCOW, December 1 Artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov Konstantin Khabensky said that he was certainly very happy for Valery Gergiev, who headed the Bolshoi Theater.
Earlier on Friday, the Russian Cabinet of Ministers announced that Valery Gergiev had been appointed general director of the Bolshoi Theater for a period of five years. Vladimir Urin was relieved of this position at his own request.
“I am, of course, very happy for him,” Khabensky answered reporters.
