MOSCOW, December 5. AvtoVAZ will resume production of Lada Vesta cars at the Tolyatti plant in two shifts from December 11, said company president Maxim Sokolov.
“»Currently one shift is working, and from December 11 we will restore the production of two shifts,» he said, speaking at the People Forum and commenting on the release of the Lada Vesta model.
AvtoVAZ owns production sites in Tolyatti, Izhevsk and St. Petersburg. In mid-May last year, the French Renault transferred its share in AvtoVAZ (67.69%) to the state ownership of the Russian Federation. Now the brand consists of four families of models: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva. Sales of brand cars in 2022 amounted to 188.6 thousand cars (-46% by 2021).
