During trading on the Moscow Exchange, the euro exchange rate exceeded 100 rubles, according to data from Investing.com.
As of 17:03 Moscow time, the euro exchange rate was 100.21 rubles. It rose to this level for the first time since October 24, 2023.
About an hour ago, the dollar exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange also rose above 92 rubles for the first time since November 13. The euro at that time was trading at 99 rubles for the first time since November 7.
On November 27, the Central Bank raised key rate by two percentage points — up to 15% per annum. The regulator cited increased inflationary pressure as the reason for this. This was the fourth consecutive increase in the key rate since July 2023.
