MOSCOW, December 4 Soviet and Russian singer, actor, songwriter Anatoly Gorokhov, author of the lyrics of the songs “Our service is both dangerous and difficult” and “Beauty Queen,” passed away at the age of 85, reported his wife, actress Ada Sheremetyeva.

Anatoly Gorokhov was born on April 7, 1938 in Kalinin (Tver). He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in vocal class. Gorokhov wrote the words of the famous song “Our service is both dangerous and difficult,” which was heard in the TV series “The Investigation is Conducted by Experts” and became the unofficial anthem of the police. The songwriter sang it together with Eduard Labkovsky. Gorokhov himself performed songs in films and cartoons, including “Mama”, “Mary Poppins, Goodbye”, “Caterok”, “Musicians of Bremen” and others. He was also the author of the lyrics to the songs “Beauty Queen”, “Be with me”, “Peace for two”.
