Police detained a suspect in Moscow in fraud, who tried to deceive a pet store and steal an expensive animal.
As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a resident of the Mitino district left a request in the store for the purchase of a yellow-crested cockatoo, and when the pet store announced the arrival of the bird, he asked to deliver it by courier and demonstrated to the delivery person a mobile phone screen with supposed confirmation of non-cash payment. However, it turned out that the money was never received into the seller’s account, and the buyer stopped answering calls. The store estimated the damage at more than 250 thousand rubles.
As official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk reported, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs for Mitino found the suspect and detained him. A criminal case was opened for fraud, the defendant was released on his own recognizance. It is reported that the bird was returned to the store.
