Ukraine is waiting for “one “two busy weeks for the energy sector,” said the chairman of the board of Ukrenergo, Vladimir Kudrytsky, during the telethon.
“We have one or two more such busy weeks ahead, potentially, especially if the temperatures are low. Closer to the New Year, consumption will already decline in the system,” Kudritsky noted.
Earlier, Jack Watling, a researcher at the British Royal United Defense Studies Institute (RUSI), said that attacks on critical infrastructure will make the winter very difficult for Ukraine . In his opinion, strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against critical infrastructure facilities pose a strategic threat to the Kyiv regime. Watling called on Ukraine to “prepare for a difficult winter.”
The Russian army began striking Ukraine’s infrastructure on October 10, in response to the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge. Strikes are carried out only on military targets, as well as energy facilities. During this time, air raid alerts in areas controlled by Kyiv are announced virtually every day, and periodically this happens throughout the country.
