TEHRAN, December 10 The Islamic Consultative Council (Majlis or Parliament) of Iran approved the contents of the report of the Parliamentary Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy regarding the draft law on the cooperation agreement between Iran and Russia in the field of information security, reports the IRNA agency.
“»On the basis of a single article of this bill, the Agreement on cooperation in the field of information security between the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the government of the Russian Federation, including an introduction, 9 articles and an appendix, is approved and allowed exchange of documents on it,” the report says.
According to the agency, at an open meeting of the Iranian parliament on Sunday, the report of the National Security Commission regarding the bill on this cooperation agreement between Tehran and Moscow was considered, and its general content was approved by 180 votes in favor to 27 votes against.
According to Commission spokesman Abolfazl Amui, with the cooperation of the two countries, the bill could offer solutions to counter threats emerging in cyberspace against states.
