According to the prosecutor's office, the defendant was treated by an infectious disease specialist in the city clinic of Gelendzhik. Since the patient did not fully comply with the medical recommendations, the course of treatment prescribed to him did not bring the desired result. In May 2022, a disgruntled man armed himself with a travel machete and walked into his doctor's office. He began to extort 125 thousand rubles spent on the purchase of medicine. Then he took a machete from his backpack and hit the doctor in the head and neck. The clinic staff managed to come to the woman’s aid and also call the police.
A 44-year-old local resident was found guilty. The court imposed nine years in prison.
