A young man who laid a pig’s head at the monument to Akhmat Kadyrov in Moscow was sent to a pre-trial detention center in Krasnodar

Muscovite Dmitry Kudryashov was sent to pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Krasnodar after he laid a pig's head at the monument to Akhmat Kadyrov in the capital's Yuzhnoye Butovo district. His father Alexander told the OVD-Info project about this.

According to the man, on the night of October 9, his 19-year-old son and his girlfriend came with a pig's head and bacon to the monument to the first president of Russian Chechnya. Alexander Kudryashov is sure that in this way the young man wanted to express his protest against the policies of Ramzan Kadyrov.

“With this action, I showed that we are not obedient cattle, and we will respond to all your crimes. <…> I decorated it with bacon and placed my protest in the form of a pig’s head on the monument to Kadyrov, who called for killing Russians,” says a voice message recorded on behalf of Dmitry Kudryashov in the “Russian Russia” telegram channel.

The next day the police came to the home of the girl with whom the Muscovite was staying at that moment. Their movements were probably tracked by street CCTV cameras. The young people were interrogated and, as OVD-Info writes, threatened with searches.

According to the Baza telegram channel, Kudryashov told the security forces that he placed the animal’s head at the monument after news about plans to build a new mosque on Akhmat Kadyrov Street in Moscow. In addition, he allegedly sent messages to various chats calling for people to bury a pig’s head at the site of the proposed construction of a Muslim temple.

After some time, the young man, according to OVD-Info, left Moscow for Krasnodar in order to leave Russia from there. According to the human rights project, Kudryashov was probably detained in Kuban in early December. It is unknown what crime the young man is charged with. In October, Baza wrote that a criminal case could be opened against him for vandalism (Article 214 of the Criminal Code).
