The press service of the courts reported that the Sovetsky District Court of Bryansk considered on Sunday the petition of the RF SUSK for the Bryansk region to select a preventive measure in the form of house arrest against the deputy director of gymnasium No. 5 for administrative and economic work Larisa Katolikova, accused of negligence resulting in negligence death of two persons (Part 3 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
«Katolikova improperly fulfilled her official duties to monitor compliance with the access control regime, the direct execution of which was entrusted to employees of a private security organization, as a result of which a high school student brought a hunting rifle into the building, from which she shot at her classmates. Two students died (one of them was the shooter), five received gunshot wounds,» the report says.
It is noted that the resolution has not entered into legal force.
On Thursday, a shooting occurred in Bryansk gymnasium No. 5. According to the Investigative Committee, a 14-year-old girl brought with her a pump-action shotgun, which she used to shoot her classmates, after which she committed suicide. As a result, two died (one of them was the shooter), five were taken to the hospital with injuries. The investigation opened a criminal case for the murder of two or more people, as well as a criminal case for negligence due to the lack of a metal detector at the entrance to the gymnasium.
A source in law enforcement agencies previously reported that the director of the private security company «Excalibur» was detained in Bryansk, guarded gymnasium No. 5, where the shooting took place, the school security guard who worked that day, as well as the father of the girl who shot and died.
