The expert decided to reassure the Russians after two plane breakdowns in a row

Such “sedatives” obviously suit aviation officials quite well

Another emergency with a Russian plane occurred in the air. So far, thank God, it ended well. The S7 Airlines (Siberia) plane suffered an engine surging after takeoff, the Eastern Interregional Investigative Committee for Transport of the Russian Investigative Committee said in a statement. The airliner was successfully landed.

Another thing is alarming. Now, on a regular basis, non-stop information is coming out about still minor problems in the operation of aircraft.

When in the morning they reported an air accident in Novosibirsk, colleagues asked in surprise: wasn’t that yesterday? And yesterday too.

Such “sedatives” obviously suit aviation officials quite well

Over the past two days, two similar accidents with aircraft engines have occurred. The aircraft made an emergency landing immediately after takeoff due to a fire.

On Thursday, December 7, in Ulan-Ude, a cargo Tu-204 was forced to return to the ground a few minutes later.

And this is only two days. Meanwhile, the number of emergency situations associated with the failure of certain systems continues to grow. Last year, experts gave a period of one to one and a half years, after which equipment failures due to lack of full service maintenance will become widespread.

Of course, some repairs can be done on the knees, disassembling some aircraft and rearranging parts from them, and some can be dealt with using parallel imports. But all this is for the time being.

How long will this luck last in a country where only two civil aircraft were built over the past year?

One of the major airlines, preventing negative consequences, has recently already canceled all flights to Nizhny Novgorod from January 15. According to media reports, the reason for this was difficulties in servicing the Airbus A320/A321neo. Now the company cannot operate about 20% of the fleet.

One of the aviation experts recently gave me a comment and reassured me how well we were doing. Very sincerely, it seemed to me that he even believed it himself. They say that all these Boeings and Airbuses actually fly abroad for maintenance as before, bypassing sanctions.

It seems to me that approximately the same reassuring tales are reported to the biggest leaders so that they do not worry: aircraft factories are being built, and European corrupt officials, risking their careers, help Russians maintain planes bypassing the bans.

I decided to ask again: how? What about a system for tracking aircraft in flight? Are they crossing the border, and en masse?

“Let’s turn off this system, and that’s it,” — Without worrying too much, the interlocutor answered. After which I definitely stopped believing in all these fairy tales. I am not a high official who will never fly on a regular plane, so I agree with any optimistic reports, this directly concerns me specifically. Better the bitter truth than lies in red daddies. All this bravado before the first serious emergency.

Airlines, judging by the fact that they are canceling flights over short distances, also realize that they are not magicians. If something happens, extreme — until closing — they will be the ones. Although they are to blame for what?

And then what? Then Russia will reduce the availability of trains to 2-3 days for the majority? But trains also don’t last forever…
