KALININGRAD, December 12A minibus carrying foreign citizens caught fire at night near Kaliningrad, the regional police department reported.
“»The bus had foreign license plates, not a tourist one. According to the driver, they were moving, spontaneous combustion occurred — a fire appeared under the stove. No one was injured. The police have now begun an investigation,» the press service said .
As a source in the region’s emergency services said, the driver first tried to put out the minibus himself.
“»The driver smelled burning wiring, stopped, dropped off all the passengers, took them to a safe distance and decided to take a fire extinguisher. But he saw that the car in the steering wheel area began to burn. And before the firefighters arrived, it was already blazing,» he said agency interlocutor.
According to the police, foreign citizens left the scene of the emergency on their own and are probably in the hotel.
