MOSCOW, December 13 The Cabinet of Ministers of Thailand approved a budget of 750 million baht ($21 million) in compensation for Thai workers and their families caught in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, government spokesman Chai Watcharong said.

As the publication notes, at the end of October, the Thai Cabinet of Ministers instructed the Ministry of Labor, in cooperation with relevant departments, to develop criteria for payments to its citizens. Thus, to date, four groups have been formed. The first included about 10 thousand people who returned after the beginning of the escalation of the Middle East conflict. The second included the families of 39 dead Thais. The third were 960 Thai workers who were in their homeland when the escalation began, but later left for Israel. The fourth included another 4.5 thousand people who plan to return to Israel.
