WASHINGTON, December 14 Ukrainian settlement will require Kiev to cede eastern parts of the country, said US presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

"I propose a reasonable deal that would provide for the preservation of the sovereignty of Ukraine, yes, with some concessions of territories, eastern regions where the Russian-speaking population lives. And a commitment that Ukraine will not be accepted into NATO, but only if (Russian President Vladimir) Putin withdraws from the military alliance with China,” Ramaswamy said during a meeting with voters, broadcast by CNN.
The politician said that the conflict around Ukraine does not advance US interests and increases the risks of a world war.
Referendums on the entry of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation were held on September 23-27, 2022. Based on the results of processing 100% of the ballots in the DPR, 99.23% of voters voted in favor of joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR — 98.42%, in the Kherson region — 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region — 93.11%. On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin on the results of these referendums, after which he signed agreements with their heads on the admission of regions to Russia.
