Pasaka Cinema in Vilnius canceled the meeting scheduled for December 14 with film critic Anton Dolin. The event was moved to the hall of the Vilnius Technopark, but it was canceled again a few hours before the start.
At the meeting, Dolin planned to discuss the results of the year with the audience. According to the film critic, all tickets for the event were sold out. Along with Dolina’s lecture, the Pasaka cinema canceled the screening of Sergei Loznitsa’s documentary film “Babi Yar” scheduled for December 15. Context». After the cancellation of events involving Dolin, Pasaka Cinema posted on Facebook saying it was done due to “negative comments from audiences and other market participants.”
“We have received information about Anton Dolin’s views on the distribution of films related to Russia in legal and human terms. Films associated with Russia through companies created in other countries should not be included in the cinema’s repertoire,” Pasaka says on Facebook.
Why the meeting was canceled at the reserve site, in the hall of the Vilnius Technopark, is not specified.
