The Russian Ambassador was summoned to the Romanian Foreign Ministry due to the fall of an unknown UAV

MOSCOW, December 14. Russian Ambassador to Romania Valery Kuzmin was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic after the fall of an unknown unmanned aerial vehicle near the village of Grinda. The Digi24 portal writes about this with reference to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
““The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly protests against the incident caused by the uncontrolled fall of a drone used to attack Ukrainian port infrastructure,” the message says.
On Thursday, the Romanian Ministry of Defense reported about a crater caused by a drone crash in Tulcea County, eight kilometers from the Ukrainian border, and warned that it had informed NATO allies about the situation.

Previously, the Romanian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly reported that fragments of drones similar to those were found in the country what Russia uses. Information about this was transmitted to the allies of the republic. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that the alliance has no information about a “deliberate attack by Russia” in the context of the UAV incident.

Russia has been claiming unprecedented NATO activity near its western borders in recent years. The alliance is expanding initiatives and calling it «containment of Russian aggression.» Moscow has repeatedly expressed concern about the buildup of the military bloc's forces in Europe. The Kremlin noted that Russia does not threaten anyone, but will not ignore actions that are potentially dangerous to its interests.
