WASHINGTON, December 18 The United States does not seek war with Iran and call on Tehran to reduce tensions in the Middle East, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said during a press conference in Israel.
“The United States does not seek war and we urgently urge Iran to de-escalate,” he told reporters.
The Pentagon chief added that the increasing attacks in the Middle East by forces “linked to Iran” threaten the population of the region and increase the risk of expanding the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
