As reported by the Nación newspaper, one of the brightest artistic symbols of Buenos Aires, created in 2002 by the architect Eduardo Cataplano, was broken by a hurricane.
“The sculpture, made of stainless steel and aluminum and weighing about 18 tons, had one of its petals fall off,” — the message says.
It is specified that Floralis Genérica is a symbol of the Argentine capital. The timing of its repair is not yet known.
