MOSCOW, December 19 The Cabinet of Ministers appointed a new deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Sergei Kuchushev, who previously worked at Ozon and Yandex, he will supervise the development of state policy, the ministry said in a statement.
«A government order was signed on the appointment of Sergei Aleksandrovich Kuchushev to the post of Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications. … As deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Sergei Kuchushev will oversee the development of state policy in the field development of the information technology industry,» the statement said.
It will implement state support measures that are aimed at the development and implementation of Russian software, state policy on the transition of government agencies to domestic solutions. Also within his competence will be the development of a digital transformation strategy, accreditation of IT companies and organization of work on the formation and maintenance of a register of domestic software.
Kuchushev worked at Yandex for more than 13 years in various positions. From January 2019 to July 2020, he served as Director of Government Relations at Ozon. Until recently, he worked in the same position in the investment holding Vostok Investments, which supports iconic IT companies — Ozon, Profi, SkyEng, Sravni and others.
